This site is intended for customers who enter Japan via Narita International Airport (NRT) and Tokyo International Airport (Haneda/HND) and wish to reserve seats on Shinkansen and Limited Express trains for travel in the JR East area. This includes Tokyo and Ueno Stations in Tokyo and stations in northeast Honshu including Nagano, Niigata, Sendai, Yamagata, Morioka and Akita.

This service is provided by the East Japan Railway Company, and is available for reserving Ordinary (Coach Class), Green Car (First-Class) or GranClass Car (Premium-First-Class) seats on the Tohoku Shinkansen ("Hayabusa", "Hayate", "Yamabiko" and "Nasuno"), Akita Shinkansen ("Super Komachi" and "Komachi"), Yamagata Shinkansen ("Tsubasa"), Joetsu Shinkansen ("Max Toki", "Toki", "Max Tanigawa" and "Tanigawa"), and Nagano Shinkansen ("Asama").
It can also be used on the Narita Express (between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Narita International Airport), and Limited Express trains on the Joban Line ("Super Hitachi" and "Fresh Hitachi" : between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Mito/Iwaki area), the Chuo Line ("Super Azusa", "Azusa" and "Kaiji" : between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Kofu/Matsumoto area), the Tokaido/Ito Line and the Izu Kyuko Line ("Super View Odoriko" and "Odoriko" : between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Izu area), the Tobu-Nikko Line ("Nikko", "Spacia-Nikko", "Kinugawa" and "Spacia-Kinugawa" : between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Nikko/Kinugawa area) and the Hokuetsu Kyuko Line ("Hakutaka" : between Echigo-Yuzawa and Naoetsu).

If you are using this site for the first time, you will need to register as a member during the reservation process. A credit card will be required for membership registration.

Payment for seat reservations, purchase, or refunds will be conducted through your registered credit card.

Reservations can be made from one month before your travel date up until 5:00 p.m. (17:00, Japan Standard Time) 3 days prior to your travel date.

This service is based on Japan Standard Time (GMT+9). Any notifications are generally sent within 24 hours of you completing your reservation.

Collect your Reserved Seat Limited-Express Ticket by 9:00 p.m. (21:00, Japan Standard Time) the day before you travel at any of the locations specified by East Japan Railway Company. If tickets are not collected, a cancellation fee will be applied, and the reservation will be cancelled.
However, there are no cancellation fees for refunds or cancellations up until midnight (24:00, Japan Standard Time) 2 days prior to the traveling date, but a 300 yen cancellation fee will be charged for reservations cancelled after this time.

Only Reserved Seat Limited-Express Tickets for JR-EAST Shinkansen and Limited Express trains can be reserved through this system. Basic Fare Tickets are excluded. Either purchase your basic fare ticket when in Japan, or use a JAPAN RAIL PASS, JR EAST PASS, or JR Kanto Area Pass excursion type tickets.

You cannot make simultaneous reservations on more than one train using this service. To make reservations on more than one train, please reserve your tickets separately for each train.

This service is for personal use only. This service may not be used for commercial reservations.

Viewing recommended with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2, 7.0 or 8.0. Also, cookies and JavaScript must be enabled in the web browser settings. The reservation system may not operate normally in other web browsers.
